Lewiston to Younstown paddle route

Description:
Lewiston and Youngstown are both rich in history. Make sure to save some time to enjoy exploring these villages before or after your paddle.

This paddle starts at Lewiston Landing and ends at Fort Niagara in Youngstown. This trip is a one-way trip, requiring a car or bike waiting for you at the Fort. After launching at Lewiston Landing, proceed downstream (to the right). You'll pass many private homes, Joe Davis State Park and Youngstown Yacht Club (lots of beautiful sailboats).
The Niagara River empties into Lake Ontario here at Fort Niagara. From the water, you'll get wonderful views of Fort Niagara on your right and Niagara-on-the-Lake (Canada) on your left.

Duration: Day Trip, about 2-3 hours to paddle

Put-in:
Lewiston Landing
Located at the foot of Center Street, the far west end of Lewiston.
At the end of Center Street, make a right at the stop sign. At the end of the rows of parking, there will be a narrow driveway on the left leading down to the boat launch (at the base of the silo restaurant). Unload your boat here at the bottom. Parking is available either down below or up above where you just came from.
Take out:
Fort Niagara State Park
Park is located on Route 18F or Robert Moses Parkway, 18 miles north of Niagara Falls, at the northern end of Youngstown. Look for boat launch signs once you're in the park.
