Crack Detection and Repair Team

A.J. Hildreth, O.C. Manley, D. DeFord, D. Tantalo, D. Albicker, and J. Clement developed a portable PZT-based crack-detection and adhesive-repair system.

CB

Undergraduate Research · Accelerometer Design

C. Bausenwein

Design of a mechanically driven piezoelectric accelerometer that converts linear motion through a spring-loaded rack-and-pinion mechanism. Rotating magnets pluck a piezoelectric beam, and the time interval between voltage spikes is used to estimate acceleration.
