Dr.
Weiyan Zhang obtained her Ph.D. degree from the department of Basic
Pharmaceutical Sciences in West Virginia University. She
subsequently joined the department of Pharmaceutical Science where she
worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the SUNY at Buffalo. Her previous
research was focus on general platform for understanding the
subcutaneous absorption of mAbs. Her current work in the Center for
Protein Therapeutics is to investigate in vivo mechanisms of drug-load
release for antibody drug conjugates (ADC) and their relationships to
drug-related toxicity: application to T-DM1 and SGN-35 induced
thrombocytopenia.
