Description:
Howland Island is part of the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge Wetlands Complex located approximately 120 miles east of the Williamsville toll barriers. It is a loop trip of 9 miles or 10 if you wish to travel around Haiti Island. The waterway consists of the Seneca River and the Erie Canal. The route travels through marshland as well as wooded areas. Motor boats are virtually non existent.

Put-in:
End of Cancross Rd which runs off Savannah Spring Lake Rd that is off Route 89 after passing through the town take out of Savannah. See Delorme p74- D 1

Take out:same as put-in
