Each course module has assigned reading, posted on Perusall, that you are expected to read and think about. Each module will also have reading questions to help you check your comprehension of the main claims and arguments within those readings. (Reading questions are posted on (1) Perusall and (2) each module’s webpage after the “Context” section.) While these readings are made available via Perusall you are not required to post any comments about them. Even so, if you have questions about the reading, feel free to post them right onto the text in Perusall for me and your classmates to see.
Keep in mind that this material is not like reading a novel or a textbook. There will be times when you must read slowly and carefully. You may have to stop and think about things; and you should be prepared to go back and reread important sections. I also suggest that you take notes while you read, so that you can remember the text’s main points. Finally, feel free to reach out to me (via a comment on the text in Perusall or via email) with any questions you may have about what you are reading.
