About the Lovell Lab

The lab is located in the University at Buffalo's Biomedical Engineering department. We focus on designing and developing innovative nanomedicine solutions to address unmet clinical needs in diagnostics and therapy. Our research integrates engineering principles to design, synthesize, characterize, test, and validate next-generation nanoparticles and biosensors aimed at improving human health.

A major thrust of the lab is developing safer organic nanoparticles that offer improved treatment options for cancer.
