May 8 Tess Aman (PhD Northwestern) joins the lab! She's interested in ion channel desensitization mechanisms and  how desensitization shapes synaptic transmission and plasticity. We're excited to have her aboard!
Apr 26 Meaghan Paganelli (BS Neuroscience from U of R)) joins the lab for her PhD work in Neurosciences: welcome!
April 12 Cassandra defends her PhD dissertation with success! Congratulations Cass; Good luck at U. Mass and beyond!
May 15 Kevin Barnum, our undergrad in residence was awarded the SUNY Chancellor award (among other accolades and prozes). Very well deserved, Kevin: Congratulations!

May 5 Welcome to our Undergraduate Summer Students: Gabrielle Schroeder and Thom Smith. It is going to be a very busy summer! (Katelyn is also patching!!).
May 4 BIOCHEMISTRY RESEARCH DAY - Congratulations to Kevin for receiving the 2009 Outstanding Senior in Biochemistry award!
Congratulations to Cass on winning the 2009 Elizabeth Olmstead Ross Award for Outstanding Graduate Oral Presentation!
We were also very proud for the excellent presentations by 
Stacy and Swetha (oral) and Will, Jason and Eileen (posters).
May 1, 3 Eileen performs with the Buffalo Choral Arts Society in the Spring Concert "It's Showtime!", at Slee Hall. We are very fortunate in Buffalo, to have such talented amateur artists; and delighted to have on stage one of our own!

Mar 25 Stacy  tells us about fear circuitry and modulation in a JC to the BCH Department; The paper sparked lots of questions and Stacy did a great job addressing them, although the topic is NOT in our immediate area of expertise (to say the lest)! !
Mar 19 Brain Awareness Week was again a SUCCESS. Thank you Stacy, Cass and Swetha!

Feb 27 We ALL go to the Biophysical Society Annual Meeting in Boston; we take with us four posters (Cass, Stacy, Swetha and Will are all first authors) and a 'controversial' talk (that would be Gabriela's).

Feb 20 Gabrielle joins the lab for Undergraduate Research; she's taking-on cellular toxicity.

Dec Of course we had a KosPop Holiday Party. Bosely did not run away this time; and yes, it was very caloric.

Nov 7 Chris Lingle teaches us about inactivation kinetics in BK channels.

11/27 Cassandra  gives a JC presentation in the BCH Department. As always, she does a great job!
10/16 Mark Anderson tells us about CAMKII in heart cells; not all that different and as important.
9/25 Tom Sudhof is the Rahn Memorial Lecturer this year! We welcome the opportunity to have him visit with the lab!
9/30 Len Kaczmarek  gives a lively talk: thank you Len! We all drive to Niagara Falls to marvel at the Falls' power!
9/13 Swetha presents a poster at the 2nd Neuroscience Research Day:
