hello!

I'm Jen. I'm currently a PhD candidate in linguistics at the University at Buffalo, where my coursework concentration was in morphosyntax and my research is in experimental sociophonetics. I'm interested in sociolinguistics and its overlap with other linguistic subfields, as well as variation and linguistic perception. You can read more about my research here.

I am gearing towards a job outside of academia and have served in roles to help me do that. I am specifically interested in working with a science and tech center and/or within the world of science policy and science communication. You can see my resume/CV here.

I was born and raised in Michigan. I love traveling, cooking, creative writing, photography, volunteering and being with friends and family. My favorite color is teal.
