This is a wonderful technique for representing more primitive images.  Produced using a layering of cut fabrics, accompanied with highlighting by stitching, these can be "custom" made using color photographs you provide.  The finished image would be almost childlike (remember your son's or daughter's early crayon drawings) when compared to the photograph, but would carry a softer simpler warmth as you view it.  Whether free-formed or "custom" the piece will be a prized addition to the owner's home.
