 | Description: Silver Lake is not one of the quieter lakes or the prettier lakes I've been on, but a little exploring at the north end of the lake made up for all the noise of the power boats. This lake probably takes on a whole different feel once Labor Day is past and the boaters and vacationers return home. Silver Lake landowners light flares along the shoreline on the 4th of July, to create a "Ring of Fire", along with a show of fireworks. So, if you're in the area on Independence Day, stick around for the show.
