Dr. Weiyan Zhang is a postdoctoral research fellow of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Sate University of New York at Buffalo. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in the Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, West Virginia University (Morgantown, WV). While working in the Balthasar Lab, Dr. Zhang evaluated several strategies for the development of humanized antibodies and antibody fragments, and she investigatated the therapeutic mechanisms of IVIG in murine models of immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP).
