Research Interests

I study music and language perception and production, and I am particularly interested in how these two domains are related. I am currently affiliated with the Auditory Perception and Action Lab, and I work with Dr. Peter Pfordresher. My research examines the effects of musical and/or language background on behavioral performance (e.g., pitch imitation) as well as brain activities. My main research goal is to understand the mechanisms involved in auditory processing in both music and language and the transfer of processing ability from one domain to another.
