BILL SYLVESTER'S BUFFALO VORTEX

ECOPOETICS # 2 is a pleasure for many reasons. DODIE BELLAMY's
"AMPERSAND": each word runs through my

	fat fingers like corrosive salt.

DOUG MANSON's FIELD NOTES, the Buffalo birdfeeder lesson on Bird Avenue
(Senator Byrd, not there but not forgotten) ends his one paragraph prose
poem with:

The pigeons, the sparrows, the mice, always symbols of the poor,
used for whatever design the hawks, in their cool ludic minds, decide
for them.
