September 2015, Zhao lab received prestigious NIH R01 award from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering to develop human fibrotic microtissue chips for screening of anti-fibrotic therapies.

May 2015, Zhao lab received Innovative Micro-Programs Accelerating Collaboration in Themes (IMPACT) Fund from the University at Buffalo to develop stereolithography 3D printing of human organ on a chip.
