UNIVERSITY AND COLLEGE ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE:

Director, Transfer and Articulation Services

Undergraduate Education, University at Buffalo

Provide the campus with information and expertise in transfer and articulation issues and policy; advocate for the interests of transferring students.  Represent the University and provide leadership in system and statewide transfer and articulation groups and organizations.   Design, implement and manage the campus-wide articulation system, including:  course, requirement and exam articulation; utilization of articulation data in UBDARS degree audit; distribution of course articulation from a full-service web application for articulation, TAURUS, www.taurus.buffalo.edu.  Organize biannual faculty articulation conferences on campus and ad hoc faculty meetings on and off-campus.  Serve on the University Curriculum Committee as well as ad hoc committees.  Develop and manage joint admission agreements with community colleges including:  producing statistical reports, maintenance of agreements and guide sheets; coordination of advisor training workshops and faculty articulation meetings, recruiting; advising, processing and reporting on student participants; writing and distributing forms and materials.  Support transfer workshops at Admissions open house and preview day events.Merit increases in 1997, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006.  1996-present.

Transfer and Articulation Coordinator

Undergraduate Education, University at Buffalo

Coordinate joint admission agreements with community colleges including negotiating and writing contract and advisement documents, training staff and faculty advisors, recruiting and advising students in transfer college site visits.  Establish course-to-course articulation database for UB degree audit system, UBDARS, including presentations and training for faculties and departments.  Design and develop with lead programmer, a web application, ARIES, for distribution of UB DARS articulation data.  Develop and coordinate UB’s biannual faculty articulation conferences.  Provide support to Office of Admissions by making out of area recruitment trips.   Propose and develop an active Western NY regional chapter of the New York State Transfer and Articulation Association, NYSTAA.  1994-1996
