		Chuan Zhao, Ph.D student B.S., University of Science and Technology of China, 2013 Research interests: Two-dimensional Materials and Chalcogenide Perovskite Semiconductors. He is instrumental in achieving greatly enhanced valley exciton splitting in atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenides, an important step for realizing valley electronics. Chuan Zhao
		Fan Sun, Ph.D student B.S., Nanjing University, 2009 Research interests: Synthesis and physical properties of nanoparticles. He is working on doping of CuxS Nanoparticles as solar energy harvesting materials. He is also involved in the synthesis of FePt nanoparticles for 3D electron atom tomography (in collaboration with John Miao’s group at UCLA).

		Xiucheng Wei, Ph.D student B.S., Xi’an Jiaotong University, 2016 Research interests: Chalcogenide Perovskite Semiconductors He has worked on band gap engineering of chalcogenide perovskites such as BaZrS3. He is now working on synthesis of chalcogenide perovskite thin films.

		Haolei Hui, Ph.D student B.S., Xi’an Jiaotong University, 2017 Research interests: Chalcogenide Perovskite Semiconductors He was responsible for the synthesis of BaZrS3 and demonstrating its semiconducting properties. He is now working on different types of chalcogenide perovskites which may show multi-functional properties such as ferroelectricity and ferromagnetism.
