10X Cell Lysis Solution: 25 ml; store at 4°C

5x Loading Buffer: 5 ml; store at room temperature

5x MMP Wash Buffer: 120 ml; store at room temperature

5x MMP Reaction Buffer: 60 ml; store at room temperature

Gelatin: 0.15 g; store at room temperature

Product Description: Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are secreted or transmembrane endopeptidases. MMPs control extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling through their matrix-degrading activities, which play critical roles in many normal growth and developmental processes. Dysregulation of MMP activity has been implicated in many pathological conditions. Our MMP assay kit is based on a zymography method for visualizing the gelatin hydrolytic activities of MMP2 and MMP9 present in tissue extracts, cell cultures, serum or urine. The kit does not include the routine reagents for SDS-PAGE. Customers also need to prepare Coomassie Brilliant Blue solution for gel staining and 10% methanol/10% acetic acid for gel destaining. The product is for research and clinical diagnostic applications.
