Animations of Crystal Structures

The crystal structure of a 16-residue aromatic oligoamide that folds into a compact helix containing a 9-Å inner pore. A sodium ion is complex at the center of the pore through a first coordination sphere consisting of water and methanol, and a second coordination sphere made of amide carbonyl oxygens. The crystal structure of a molecular "hamburger" consisting of four stacked macrocyclic molecules. Four guanidium ions are found in the inner pore of the "hamburger". Link to publication

The crystal structure of an aromatic nonaurea adopting a helical conformation that binds a sodium ion (magenta sphere) in its cavity and a chloride ion (green sphere) in the periphery. Unpublished

The crystal structure of a stable [3]pseuorotaxane consisting of two six-residue macrocycles threaded by a rod-like guest (a bipyridinium derivative). Link to publication
