Here's the low-down on the Paddle Picnic: 2nd Annual Paddle Picnic: Then join us! Saturday, May 28, 2005, 11:30 am - 3 pm Paddle from Lewiston Landing to Fort Niagara State Park Picnic to follow at Fort Niagara (Rain or shine!) Paddlers should meet at 11:30 am at Lewiston Landing in the Village of Lewiston (below the Silo Restaurant) to launch boats. The paddle is 7 miles, downstream, on the Niagara River to Fort Niagara State Park (takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on weather and pace). The take out point is at the Fort Niagara Boat Launch, just before the U.S. Coast Guard Station. Weíll picnic in the park afterwards. Please bring a dish to share, along with your own stuff to grill and drink. Dessert will be provided! If you have a portable grill that you could bring along, that would be great!! Directions to Lewiston Landing (from the South): Take I-190 NORTH towards CANADA/PEACE BR Take the RT-265 exit towards LEWISTON, exit #25A * (go .1 mi) Turn LEFT on MILITARY RD * (go .8 mi) Turn RIGHT on LEWISTON RD * (go .8 mi) Continue towards ROBERT MOSES PKY/RT-104/RT-18F/LEWISTON ARTPARK * (go .5 mi) Continue on CENTER ST * (go 1 mi) Turn RIGHT on N 1ST ST * (go .1 mi) Turn LEFT on ONONDAGA ST YOU'RE THERE!
