Laboratory Facilities

The Speech Research Laboratory is designed to support studies of the acoustic structure of speech and the perception of speech. The laboratory is located in Park Hall on the Amherst Campus of the University at Buffalo. The laboratory has computer facilities that are used for audio recording, editing, speech analysis and synthesis, data analysis, simulation modeling and software development. All experimental tasks are run on-line under computer control using Macintosh computers. In addition to rooms for experiments and audio recording, the laboratory has general purpose workspace equiped with computers for word processing, data analysis and statistics, graphics, and electronic mail.
