Welcome!

I am a third year PhD student in Linguistics at the Universty at Buffalo, and a member of the UB PhonLab.

Research

My research interests are in sociophonetics and the phonetics of singing, and specifically how people acoustically index and percieve social identities in singing.

My current project is looking at the acoustic cues that listeners use to perceive gender in singing voices.

About me

I grew up in New Jersey, and received my BA in Linguistics and Music from Cornell University. I am now in my third year of the Linguistics PhD program at the University at Buffalo, under the supervision of Christian DiCanio and Matt Faytak. Outside of linguistics, my interests include choral singing, playing tower bells, calligraphy, and biking.
