This map is a simple chorpleth map of population density in the United States created using Mapset. Mapset is a platform that enables robust options for the visual depiction of data with high spatial variability.
This second map demonstrates how the GDP of each country with available data changed in 2016 per capita. Symbols shown in blue represent growth whereas symbols shown in red represent loss. As one can see, most loss happened in Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. This is significant especially because many countries from these areas are already impoverished and/or in conflict.
