Miloslav Seeman

1892-1975

Miloslav Seeman was an otolaryngologist and phoniatrician. In 1922, he established at the Prague Otologic Clinic an outpatient department for diseases of speech and voice and impaired hearing. In 1947, Seeman, along with his colleagues Richard Luchsinger and Jean Tarneaud founded the journal Folia Phoniatrica, the official organ of the International Association of Logopedics and Phoniatrics. And in 1967, Seeman’s created a phoniatric clinic and laboratory in the the Medical Faculty of Charles University, Prague.
