Some of the titles of the songs were
taken from my PhD dissertation text -
words and phrases that sounded interesting.

"Especially, Human Rights" takes its title
from the last audible words (recorded
from a short wave radio) that you can
hear in this piece.

"Heidi without laughter" - the original
version of this ended with a recording of my neice
when she was a year old laughing.

"That Night" was a live improv with
me playing a guitar, lying on my back on the
floor in the dark, whle my wife was in
the hospital.

First Months and some of Primary Objects
were recorded in the 1980s in Champaign
Illinois on really bad analog tape.
Everything else was recorded since
then in Amherst NY.

The title of this page is "Primary
Objects", a term lifted from the book
"Drama of the Gifted Child", and
originally used as the title for my WEFT-fm
radio show back in the 80's in Champaign Illinois.
