Ethics! Essentials
Syllabus
with all you need to know!
During the semester, I’ll be sending you weekly emails and also posting them on UB Learns.
This document has all the information from the syllabus and more details about the course, its grading scheme, and its activities.
You initially have 3 philosopher’s stones to use during this course. You will earn more stones based on your performance on each module and unit exam.
As you complete Ethics! activities, you will earn philosophy experience points that will determine your final grade in the course.
This course consists of 25 modules across 6 units. Each module will cover a specific topic within ethics.
You will work together with your classmates on Perusall, making social annotations of the course readings.
Each course module will have two types of quizzes: Quizzes embedded into my Panopto videos and end-of-module quizzes posted on UB Learns.
At the end of each unit, there will be a unit exam. These are not cumulative, focusing primarily on new material.
