Heidegger on das Man, Attunement, Care, and Angst

Primary Sources:

Heidegger, Being and Time, Part One, Division One: chapters IV; V, sections 28 - 30; and VI, sections 39 - 42

Secondary Sources:

Questions:

What is "The They" [das Man] and what role does it play in the constitution of the world? What does Heidegger mean when he claims that "when Dasein is absorbed in the world of its concern... it is not itself"? Can Dasein fully escape das Man?

What is attunement? How does it relate to Dasein's "moods"? How is fear described?

Why does Being-in-the-world cause anxiety?
