Good news everyone!
I made a webpage. Since you came to my webpage, I assume you want to hear my life story. So, I was born once, and now I'm living in Buffalo as a PhD student in Dr. Baker's lab.
My research: The delivery and clearing of lymphocytes, via the blood and lymphatic vessels, to and from the salivary gland likely has an important role in the development of Sjögren's syndrome.
Many studies of other chronic inflammatory conditions have revealed that blood and lymphatic vessels undergo growth and remodeling (called angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis, respectively), however this has never been studied in Sjögren's syndrome.
For these reasons, I decided to look into the role of angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis through the development of Sjögren's syndrome.
About me: I am a nerd, not too surprising since I work in science. While I study biology, I really love all things cosmology and astronomy related, other than the super complex math.
I also take pleasure in many of the non-science nerd things, such as video games and super hero movies. Outside of my nerd realm, I really enjoy rock climbing, camping, snowboarding and other outdoor activities.
This is all you get to learn about me without speaking to me in person. Have a wonderful life, random indvidual.
Cheers,
Andrew
