Projects
Basic Electronics Final Project, Project Team Member, Designed, bread boarded, troubleshot, and completed an audio/optical sensor circuit. Utilizing concepts learned from several individual lab projects, the circuit detected via an IR pair a car entering or exiting the garage and then turned on or off the house lights based on the number of claps from the user. Project was completed well in advance of deadline and contained a number of features and techniques that went beyond the minimum requirements.
Renewable Energy Feasibility Project, Project Team Member, Qualitative and quantitative assessment of solar and wind power utilization at designated sites. Concluded that on-site wind and/or solar energy systems used in conjunction with centralized grid power provide optimum use of renewable energy (Ònet-meteringÓ).
Hotel Reservation System, Team Leader, Creation of a software system to make hotel reservations using the Java programming language. Outcome was a successful creation of a feature-rich, dependable software system. Features include: individual employee and administrator login, ability to modify or cancel existing reservations, ability to view available rooms in real time, automatic back-up of data.
