Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching to Dr. Wood

Buffalo, NY, May 8, 2008. The University at Buffalo announced today that Professor Troy D. Wood was one of this year's recipients of the State University of New York Chancellor's Excellence in Teaching Award. Congratulations Dr. Choi!

BUFFALO, July3, 2007. Yong Seok is now Dr. Choi after successfully defending his Ph.D. dissertation  Congratulations Yong!  Dr. Choi will be heading to the University of Delaware to begin a postdoctoral appointment with Professor Kelvin Lee.

Lupton Selected as a Polgar Fellow

NEW YORK, May 2007. Ms. Sara J. Lupton, a joint research student with Professor Aga and Professor Wood, is a recipient of a Tibor T. Polgar Fellowship from the Hudson River Foundation and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.  Sara will be examining Hudson River sediments for pollutants using mass spectrometry.  Congratulations Sara!

Buffalo-Niagara Inventor of the Year--Part II

BUFFALO, May, 2007. Dr. Troy Wood and Dr. Douglas Smith (2004 graduate) won Third Place in the Physical Sciences Division at 2006 Buffalo-Niagara Inventor of the Year banquet for their U.S. patent number 7,014,880 entitled, "Process of Vacuum Evaporation of an Electrically Conducive Material for Nanoelectrospray Emitter Coatings."

Deliverex Team Places Second in Panasci Entrepreneur Competition

BUFFALO, April 26, 2007. Dr. Douglas Smith (2004 graduate) was a member of the second place team in the Henry A.
