I am a Computer Science professional who is passionate about both software and hardware aspects. A curious mind looking forward to extensive learning in cutting-edge technologies and hands on experience in innovation-driven teams where I can apply my skills for achieving excellence
I am currently a Gradute Student, pursuing my masters in Computer Science at the University of Buffalo (SUNY). My interests include Algorithms, Web Development and Distributed Systems.
I enjoy coding in Java, Python and have recently taken up Node JS. I take a very active interest in Technology and like to be abreast with all the latest Technological Developments and the myriad intricacies that make this field ever so interesting.
Outside of my student life, I am an active Singer/Musician, a gamer and someone with a massive apetite for books and reading.
On most days if I am not working, you will either find me practicing music; reading tech magazines/blogs; articles and books about science, evolution, philosopy, religion, economics and sport; crime/mystery and science fiction novels or gaming.
For the most part, I like to code in Java. For the past few months, I have been working on Python and have been working on a project on SPRING/MVC as well.
July 2014 - June 2015
Worked at Cognizant Technology Solutions from July 2014 to June 2015. My role was that of a Programmer Analyst Trainee. I worked as a part of the Production support team(offshore) for a large American financial services firm mainly focusing on the maintenance and support for the servers of the said firm and the back end of their Online Banking Portal.
August 2015 - Present
Graduated from the University at Buffalo(SUNY) with a Masters Degree in Computer Science. Major courses covered were Applied Cryptography, Data Warehousing and Mining Techniques, Information Retrieval, Distributed Systems and Algorithms.
October 2010 - June 2014
Graduated with distinction in Information Technology. Worked on Databases, Programming Languages, Basics of Web Development and Operating Systems.

A combined repository consisting of all my projects done over the course - Distrubuted Systems Android Programming in JAVA.
Projects related to Information Retrieval. Implemented a tweet Crawler in Java and constructed a search engine to access the tweets and tested a few language models such as VM, BM25 etc.

Implemented memory management techniques and system call management for the OS161 Operating System.
Implementation of a Privacy Preserving Distributed K-Means Clustering Algorithm using Java Socket API and Swing AWT.
