Denise Sperry Art Studio features innovative watercolor classes to enthusiastic adults. Each lesson is tailored to the needs of the class. Denise emphasizes good design, understanding of values, color mixing, texture, and learning a variety of techniques.
Each project offers a special challenge and a chance to try something new. Denise often has students paint on a variety of watercolor papers as each one produces a different outcome. To inspire creativity, some lessons combine watercolor with colored pencil, acrylic paints, inks, pastel, or liquid acrylics.
Denise also teaches a variety of workshops locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. In addition, she sponsors guest artists who teach workshops in her art studio.
Denise’s humorous style of teaching and well organized lesson plans make her classes desirable. Whether painting for personal pleasure or working toward professional status, each person is encouraged to find their own special style. Many of Denise’s students are now award winning artists!
