DENISE SPERRY is an Award Winning Artist whose works have been displayed in several local, regional, and national exhibitions. She has received numerous awards including several Best of Show. Denise is best known for her rich vibrant colors and creative depiction of subject. Design is foremost and each painting is unique.
Denise is a member of numerous artistic associations including the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society, The Fine Arts League, and has associate membership in the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and the American Watercolor Society.
Denise has her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She pursued an art education by participating in over 40 workshops taught by nationally and internationally renowned artists throughout the United States and Canada. Some of these, including Margaret M. Martin, Judi Betts, Penny Soto, and Charlotte Huntley, were influential in having the most significant impact on the development of her own unique artistic style. Good design, originality, luminosity, and intensity of color are the hallmarks she strives to attain.
Denise has been teaching watercolor classes and workshops in the United States, Canada and Mexico for the past several years. She is the founder and teacher of The Art School, DEEUNIQUE STUDIO, which she runs in her Art Studio. Her enthusiasm and love of art transcends to her students who are now winning awards!
Denise's watercolor paintings appear in private and corporate collections in both the United States and Mexico. She has had several Solo Exhibitions as well as Gallery Exhibitions. She is represented by Polo's Gallery in Rosarito, Mexico. Denise's painting "Beatnik" was auctioned with a Chagall and a Picasso in November 2005. In May of 2006, one of her paintings was accepted into the prestigious 25th Adirondack National Exhibition of American Watercolors. Denise also designs and sells unique wearable art jewelry which has been featured in the "Bead and Button Magazine".
