I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University at Buffalo, The State Univerisity of New York. My research interests include:

• Natural Language Processing (NLP) that aids information retrieval
• Multilingual NLP using probabilistic frameworks to aid non-topical information extraction (sentiment analysis and emotion detection)
• Semantic role labeling in the context of generating resources for languages that do not have SRL annotated data
• Entity detection in the context of finding agents that express opinions
• Personalized recommendation systems
