Portobello Mushroom and Sausage Pizza

4 (4" or larger) portobello mushroom caps, stems removed, gills scrapped away
olive oil

2 sweet or hot turkey Italian sausage, casings removed

c. 1 cup Wegman's Diavolo tomato sauce
4 oz. grated fresh mozzarella cheese
fresh basil leaves, shredded (optional)

Preheat oven to 350. Brush mushrooms with olive oil, arrange rounded side down on baking sheet. Bake mushrooms until almost tender, about 8 minutes. Maintain oven temperature.

Saute sausage in skillet until cooked through, breaking up sausage into small bits.

Spoon sausage onto mushrooms. Top with Diavolo sauce and then mozzarella.

Bake mushroom pizzas around 10 minutes, until heated through and cheese is melted. Top with basil, if desired.
