ABOUT THE CENTER
Dr. Alan J. Gross envisioned a place where dental students could meet, study, and do research away from the confines of the classroom. A 1952 graduate of the UB School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Gross was a strong advocate for dental students and their education.  He challenged students to be the very best they could be, while at the same time being a confidant, friend, and excellent teacher.  A generous gift of $100,000 by his brother Gordon R. Gross, made it possible for his vision to become reality.  Dr. Gross was able to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony at the center, only to pass away a few days later after a long battle with cancer. While he may no longer walk among us, his spirit shall remain with us forever.
The Dr. Alan J. Gross Student Resource Center is located on the South Campus of the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine (Squire Hall) B-14 (lowest level).  The center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
