Corey Fisher
On Saturday,
January 4, 2003, 17-year-old Corey Fisher, dove into some very shallow water
and broke his neck. During his
recovery, he has made progress and has some movement of his arms, as well as
feeling in his right side. He is
able to breathe on his own and mentally he is 100%. On February 10, 2003,
the doctors performed surgery in order to stabilize his neck.
His recovery will be long and trying for Corey and his entire family.
This time has been most difficult for his parents, and their three other
children.
In order to make
the proper accommodations for him, his home will have to be remodeled to include
the proper bathing facilities, as well as a first-floor bedroom.
The costs for this, as well as his medical bills, will be enormous.
Corey is currently
being treated at the Shriner’s Hospital in Chicago. Corey’s mother, has already had to incur many expenses, in
the cost of her trips to visit her son. While
her friends and family have been very supportive, Corey’s needs are far
greater.
In order to help raise the needed
funds, Corey’s family will be holding a benefit on May 10, 2003 at St.
Benedict’s Church in Amherst. As
part of this benefit, we will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner and Chinese Auction.
We need your help to make this a success.
If your company could donate an item or service to be used for the
benefit, it would be most appreciated. To
thank you for your generosity, your company’s name or logo will be prominently
displayed to show your support for this worthy cause.
