Since December 1998 Murray has been tenderly loved by a caring person who took him in as a foster dog. Murray is now a much happier dog, and has learned "shake" and "kiss" to show how smart he is! We estimate him to be about 3 years old, he has been neutered, and has all of his shots.
Murray roamed an Amherst neighborhood for weeks back in the Fall of 1998 before he was finally able to be rescued because of his tremendous fear of human hands. It took time and patience to socialize Murray to the point of trusting humans again. We believe from his initial behavior that he was abused in some way. His parentage is unknown, but he looks like an australian shepherd mix.

Special thanks to the person who has fostered Murray since December 1998, the staff at Central Park Animal Hospital who paid special attention to him during his socialization, and most of all, to Amanda, who spent her entire store of energy befriending and capturing Murray so he could have a chance for a good life.
