Lucifer has been ADOPTED by a wonderful couple who live in Kirtland, Ohio. Sue drove all the way to Buffalo to meet and adopt this little black beauty! He is doing well in his new home, settling in and getting acquainted with Oreo the cat and three dogs. His new name is Bojangles, which fits him perfectly!
Bojangles was brought to the Buffalo Companion Animal Network (BuffaloCAN) by a good samaritan who found him in a North Buffalo neighborhood. He was VERY hungry, and gulped down an entire 6 oz. can of moist food in about 30 seconds! He had a tag, and on contacting the owners, we discovered they were actually looking to rehome him, and had left him with food and water in their former house. He was obviously very lonely and had been by himself for a while. We imagine his food ran out, and he was frantic for companionship. He's also been known as Midnight, India Ink, and of course Lucifer while he was with us.
Bojangles is very mellow, and even on the 2nd day he was in our foster care did not show any fear of the broom brought out to sweep up his litter. He runs into your arms when you come home, and is a cuddler and licker, likes to be held upside down (unusual!). He also is a talker, and has an unusual un-cat-like little sound that he makes. He took to Sue immediately, and there was no question that this was fate!
We wish him the best! Many, many thanks to everyone who rescued, spread the word, and expressed interest in this little guy!
