JASMINE AND HER NEW FAMILY!
Jasmine was adopted last Sunday by a wonderful couple with three
children in the Amherst, NY area. Jasmine's loving and responsible former
owner took the time to connect with others to help find this wonderful
female cat a new home rather than just give her up to the humane society
where her fate would not be certain.
Jasmine's first day in her new home was one of adjustment -- for her and
for her new children! As is typical of cats when they enter new
surroundings, Jasmine found a cozy, safe, hidden spot in a closet
somewhere and promptly fell asleep, causing the kids to think they had
lost her! Several hours later, Jasmine came out, stretching and yawning,
wondering what on earth all the fuss was about, but happily accepted all
the petting and cuddling that followed!
Jasmine can now look forward to many more happy days, drinking out of the
small pagoda fountain in the family room that she believes is her own
private drinking bowl, and maybe a new kitten friend which her new family
is thinking about adopting.
Many thanks to Jasmine's former family for caring so much, and to her new
family for taking the time and trouble to search her out. It's people
like this that give me the energy to continue my matchmaker rescue work!
