RESEARCH

I am interested in the typology of converbs, narrative converbs and clause-chaining constructions. Currently I am analyzing the converbal system of Sakha (Yakut) based on the electronic corpus. A corpus has a total of ~300,000 words and was developed based on the online archive of newspaper publications "Eder Saas" (Youth) (1998-2001). Condensed version of my paper you can find here.

I am a member of SNeRG Research Group that brings together different disciplines, such as linguistics, computer science, and cognitive science. Within this research group I worked on projects like "Contextual Vocabulary Acquisition: CASSIE learns to figure out a meaning of an adjective Importunate from context" and "Natural Language Processing based on ATN and SNePS".
