Project Engineer/Development Associate

Education: MS/Ph.D., Metallurgy/Metallurgical Engrg/Matls Engrg

The successful candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy and metallurgical engineering and will be expected to be familiar with key engineering alloy systems including: aluminum, carbon and low alloy steels, copper, nickel and stainless steels. Hands-on experience with universal testing machines of the MTS/INSTRON types; intimate knowledge of ASTM test methods and standards pertinent to tensile, impact, fatigue and fracture mechanics studies of metallic materials utilizing precracked specimens; familiarity with corrosion modes and applicable ASTM/NACE test methods and experience with fracture toughness/fatigue crack growth testing in aggressive environments are required.

Development Engineer

Education: MS/Ph.D. Mechanical Engineering

Job 1: We are seeking Mechanical Engineers with a strong interest in process and systems development and demonstrated skills in machine design, fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, and thermodynamics. Successful candidates will be responsible for improving and developing machinery using analytical and experimental methods including tools like CFD. Strong communications and teamwork skills are essential.

Job 2: We are seeking Mechanical Engineers interested in experimental research and development for performance and mechanical design improvements of process machinery including compressors, pumps, and turbines. Skills will be applied to optimize applications, improve existing equipment, and support new product development. The final product will be tested in our lab or field facilities to provide feedback for the design process. Background with CAD/CAM design, CFD modeling, and design of experiments is required.
