Nicole Bard recently transferred to The University at Buffalo. She is a Communication Major with a Minor in Environmental Studies. Nicole recently went on an ALternative Winter Break trip with UB to Chauvin, Louisiana. On the trip, the group learned about the environmental sustainability of Southern Louisiana and got a feel of the culture and community. It was an incredible learning experience and she is eager to go back and visit! At UB, Nicole is involved with the Hillel of Buffalo, where she holds to position of Engagement Intern. She is responsible for finding students who are not involved in Hillel and telling them about all of the wonderful things Hillel has to offer. She is also very active in the Environmental Network, an environmental activism club on campus. In her free time, she likes to drink coffee and eat ice cream.

Career Objective

With her studies in Communication and Environmental Studies, Nicole hopes to be able to get into the environmental field. She wants to be able to speak on behalf of environmental companies to spread awareness about the problems our world is facing and what we can all do to help. She wants to be able to travel around the country, learning about how in each part of the United States, different environmental problems are being faced.

Educational Background

As mentioned previously, Nicole has recently transferred to the University at Buffalo. She attended the University of Rhode Island for her freshman year.

  1. Ceramics Specialist at Woodmont Day Camp
  2. Waiter's Assistant who helps set the table, clear away dirty dishes, and assists waiter whenever needed
