On Thursday, July 19, all of us left the Hamilton Mountain trail and the work we had done over the past three days for trail clearing on the Pacific Coast Trail.  This trail runs all the way from Mexico to Canada.  Each of us grabbed a tool and headed up Bonneville trail that runs into the Pacific Coast Trail.  From here we leveled the grade of the trail, cut away vegetation and sawed away tree branches that overhung the pathwayl.  We were quite ambitious that day and spruced up the PCT from the Columbia river to a large lake near a stone quarry.  At this point, the heat got the better of us and we all took a dip into the lake.  The water was wonderful!

This first picture was taken as we walked down the PCT to the lake itself.
