Mary Flaherty, Ph.D. student in the Cognitive Area of Psychology
B.S. (Psychology) University of Pittsburgh
Research Interests: I am interested in auditory perception in both humans and birds. I primarily work in Dr. James Sawusch’s lab at UB, where I study how our knowledge of words alters our perceptions of the segments that make up words. I am currently working on a qualifying project in the lab, and am investigating auditory scene analysis in zebra finches and budgerigars.
