My books on Corporate Finance
& Corporate Governance

I co-authored a textbook with
John Nofsinger and Derek Mohr about corporate governance that is cleverly titled,
Corporate Governance. It is now in its
3rd edition. The textbook is short in
length - about 200 pages across 11 chapters. The book uses
real-world examples to illustrate all concepts. We also provide
end-of-chapter questions, discussion questions,
outside-of-class exercises for students in the U.S. and for students outside the
U.S. This book can be used as an
important supplement for most corporate finance courses, but it can also be used in a
accounting course, a business law course, or any
course on
strategy, ethics, and/or especially business and society.
Also, it can be used for executive training seminars, and for a short 1-credit
or 1.5-credit MBA module that focuses on corporate governance. In fact, we
sort of had the latter in mind when we wrote the textbook. There is also
an instructor's manual, PowerPoint slides, and a test bank that supplements the
book, all available from the publisher.
Corporate Governance is largely based on my trade book, also with John Nofsinger, entitled Infectious Greed. This latter book provides a quick and easy-to-read overview of the corporate governance failures that took place during the late 1990s and early 2000s (e.g., the internet bubble burst, Enron, Arthur Anderson, WorldCom, etc.), and what the U.S. did about them. I guess you could say that Corporate Governance is the academic and updated version of Infectious Greed.
And.... I was also a co-author of the college textbook, Global Corporate Finance. You can learn much about that textbook from one of my co-author's website. I'm no longer associated with that textbook. And in fact, there is a more recent edition of it.

This is the English version of my book that is sold outside of the U.S.

The corporate governance textbook also has been published in different
languages. Some examples are below. Next year, an Arabic version
will become available!
