Introduction

I received my B.S. degree in Applied Chemistry & Chemical Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2011. My undergraduate research involved the production of biofuel from municipal solid wastes by pyrolysis and its process optimization. In 2012, I came to South Dakota State University to study chemistry. I joined the environmental/analytical chemistry lab of Dr. Douglas Raynie and received my Master’s degree in 2015. My Master’s thesis was on the characterization and high-temperature hydrotreatment of lignin using carbon-loaded catalysts. In 2016, I started pursuing Ph.D. in analytical chemistry at the University at Buffalo and joined Dr. Luis Colon’s lab. However, I am currently working in a collaborative project under supervision of Dr. Jun Qu. My current research focus is LC/MS-based targeted protein quantification and analysis method development.
