Jonathan White works for the Center for Inclusive Design and Environmental Access (IDEA Center) in Buffalo, NY. Jonathan is originally from the Adirondack region of New York and placed third in his class when he graduated with a Master of Architecture Degree from the University at Buffalo. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Architecture, Jonathan studied for his Masters in Architecture and produced a thesis entitled Didactic Daylight Design for Education. His belief that architecture should be functional and help its occupants, combined with his background in volunteer ambulance service, led him to enroll in the school's Inclusive Design research group and work with the IDEA Center.
He has been working with the Center for Inclusive Design and Environmental Access for two years doing research, home modifications for accessibility, and co- authoring a book on Inclusive Housing Design. Inclusive Housing: A Pattern Book is his first professional co-authorship.
