I carried out a research project on “Event-related brain potential indices of hyper-active gap-filling,” which is to investigate how speakers of English process verb transitivity information when reading sentences containing filler-gap dependencies. By measuring the reading time, the study examined whether the readers actively makes representational commitments on the gap position before the transitivity of verbs becomes available. As a lab manager, I recruited subjects, ran experiments, maintained lab equipment, and post-analyzed the data.
