WHAT IS TAURUS?? (back to top)
TAURUS is the University at Buffalo's new articulation web site. It displays course articulation approved by UB faculty and shows how transfer courses compare to UB courses and requirements.

TAURUS uses the Course Applicability System (CAS), a nation-wide transfer information system to search and display UB information. TAURUS allows students, faculty, and advisors to easily retrieve information on the internet about UB's course articulation. In the future TAURUS will also provide information about UB's catalog course descriptions, academic program requirements as well as individualized degree audit reports for any major program. Check the Glossary for definitions of terms used in TAURUS.

Right now, TAURUS uses software from a system called CAS to publish UB's course articulation in the form of course equivalency guides (CEG). CEG guides give you the same information that used to be available on UB's web site ARIES.

In the near future, TAURUS will provide access to even more UB information including course descriptions, academic program requirements, and planning guides that can include course articulation for any UB degree with any college or give you an individualized degree audit that matches your transcript against any requirements for any UB degree program.

Your comments and questions are welcome, Email TAURUS
