This lab utilized data from the presidential election. The map shows concentrations of Democrat and Republican voters across the USA. This data is useful if you are trying to track where concentrations of Democrat or Republican voters are based on state. If you were trying to compare different election years, this data would help you track changes over time (i.e. 2004 vs. 2008 vs 2012). Cartographic Boundary Shapefiles came from US Census Bureau and 2016/2012 voting results were accessed from GitHub. All analysis was done in QGIS.
